At the 2025 China International Mining Equipment Exhibition that opened today, Jinan Haoyang Forging & Casting Co., Ltd. officially launched the B2B3 series of hot-rolled forged steel balls. Through dual innovations in materials and processes, this product successfully addresses the industry pain points of "high wear and easy breakage" of steel balls in ball mills for mines.
It is learned that the steel balls released this time adopt a chromium-molybdenum-nickel multi-alloy formula, with a hardness of over HRC62 and an impact toughness of up to 150J, and a breakage rate of less than 0.3%. Through the optimization of the "gradient quenching" process, the service life of the steel balls is extended by two times compared to traditional products, significantly reducing the frequency of mine shutdowns and replacements. According to the actual measurement data from China Gold Group's Zhaoshiba Copper Mine in Tibet, after using these steel balls, the energy consumption for grinding per ton of ore decreases by 27.6%, and the annual comprehensive cost is saved by nearly 40%.
Currently, enterprises such as Zijin Mining and Rio Tinto Group have reached purchase agreements with Yileite, with the first batch of orders exceeding 360 million yuan. Industry experts point out that this technology marks a shift from "following" to "leading" in China's wear-resistant materials, providing a new solution for the global green transformation of the mining industry.
